Spring 2018 Kennedy Center Internships
The Kennedy Center Internship Program offers students of every interest and background intense professional development opportunities in an exciting, mission-driven, non-profit cultural center. As the nation’s performing arts center, we produce over 2000 shows and events a year, and host 3 million visitors. Our 36 Spring 2018 Internship placements give you tangible work experience that immediately makes an impact. Our Kennedy Center Internship Program is based around three experiential elements:
- Direct learning in the field of your choice; interns are matched with a Kennedy Center Staff member to devise their own placement projects for individualized, hands-on experience.
- Rigorous Professional development education; including resume workshops, public speaking seminars, and personal branding sessions.
- An arts administrative course, KC Class; taught by KC senior leaders, Kennedy Center Interns partake in discussions around cultural management and collective impact, and are supported through their exploration of creative solutions. The course culminates in a competitive group project structured around an issue in our field.
Supported by enthusiastic staff, trips to other DC cultural organizations, and interdepartmental volunteer opportunities, the #KenCenIntern experience is unlike any other.
